As we get bigger, our teams are getting smaller…
One of the big pushes this off-season was to rethink how we can do a better job at building relationships with our Cast Members. Sometimes as a Cast Member it can feel a little overwhelming especially when you are unsure who you should talk to if you have a problem or concern. This year every Cast Member will be assigned to a “team” (aka Department Team) and as a Cast Member, you will have a Department Manager who you can turn to with anything you may need. Your Department Manager will be handling all of your scheduling, communications, training assignments, and team building activities. There are six (6) Department Teams, they are as follows: Please note: The terms in ALL CAPS will the the official internal names for each department, we included “aka” to show former names and names used for recruiting purposes. HOUSE (aka Front of the House or Host) This is for people who love to help and make others feel welcome. Description: These roles welcome and help our guest get their experience off to a great start. Additionally, these roles require excellent customer service skills with the ability to solve problems and exceed guest expectations. Guest Engagement Level: High ONSTAGE (aka Performer) This is for people who love to entertain groups of people. Description: These positions are for actors/actresses with experience in the performing arts. These positions typically require acting and public speaking skills. Guest Engagement Level: High OFFSTAGE (aka Engagement) This is for people who love to make others feel special. Description: These positions are typically a character within the experience, many of these positions have a small group, or one-on-one engagement with guests. Guest Engagement Level: High RETAIL This is for people who love to sell to and assist guests. Description: These positions have a focus on sales and retail operations. Additionally, these positions require sales, customer service, cash management and organizational skills. Guest Engagement Level: High OPERATIONS This is for people who love to see things functioning properly and running smoothly. Description: These detail-oriented positions are critical to the overall functioning of the experience. Hard workers who can quickly troubleshoot and solve problems to ensure a great experience for our guests. Guest Engagement Level: Moderate to High TIMING (aka Show System, Show Management, or Tech) This is for those who love technology and technical systems. Description: These are typically behind-the-scenes positions for those with technical skills. Requires someone who can stay focused, multi-task, maintain a calm demeanor, all while troubleshooting and problem solving in high pressure situations.
