In case you hadn't noticed, this year we are introducing a new cloud-based HR solution called Zenefits!
Remember last year, when you had to fill out mounds of “paperwork”,then fax/scan it back to us just to get hired. We have completely eliminated paper, now complete all of your new hire documents online through your computer or mobile device. - Sign documents with your finger (touch screen) or use a mouse. - Upload your identification by taking a photo with your mobile device. - Need a copy of your pay stub? No problem, just pull it up on the Zenefits app. Fill out and sign all of your new hire documents in less than 10 minutes and never touch a piece of paper. One of the biggest factors we heard over and over is how physically demanding a long shift can be, especially if you worked a double on a “full” day!
With the introduction of Deputy, we have so much more flexibility when it comes to scheduling. The biggest change will be on our “full” days where we operate for 14+ hours in a day. Last season, we split this day into two shifts, this season it will be broken into three shifts. Could you still work a double on a full day. Technically, yes, but you now can build in a five to six hour break in between shifts to help you recover and recharge. We’ll cover all the details at the Orientation Training. This season we are introducing a new role called “Coach”. Their whole purpose is to encourage, empower and train cast members to make the overall experience better for our guests. Coaches can train and certify you for new roles. The more roles your learn, the more points you earn, the larger your end-of-season bonus. Get to know your coach and learn all you can! Interested in becoming a coach? We already have 10 in place but we looking for about 10 more coaches for this season. Are you a leader? Are you good at building up and encouraging others? We’ll be watching to see who has what it takes to be a coach. Yes, the old time clocks with the fob are gone! Replaced with an iPad Time Clock! Just be sure to smile when it takes your picture when you clock in or clock out. As you know Santa is all about giving! Many of you know our motto…
“Beatius est Magis Dare Quam Accipere”. If your Latin needs a little work, here it is in English, “It is more blessed to give than receive”. This year we don’t want those just to be words we say, we are going to put them into action. On December 5th, we are going to load up a team of volunteer cast members on a trolley and head to Phoenix for the day. Stop #1 Phoenix Children’s Hospital - In the morning, we will arrive at Phoenix Children’s Hospital to spread a little Christmas cheer to kids and their families! You might even be able to be a part of a game show with Santa which will be broadcast to all the kids in the hospital! Stop #2 Sunshine Acres Children's Home - In the afternoon, we’ll visit the kids at Sunshine Acres Children’s Home to hang out with them for a while. You don’t want to miss this one as we have a big surprise to these kids and their house parents! Stop #3 UMOM New Day Center - In the evening, we’ll make our last visit to UMOM a homeless shelter for single moms and their kids! We’ll read books with the kids and spend some quality time with them. If you interested, please keep an eye out for our invitation once the season gets started.
